Traffic stop leads to three arrests in Dover
DOVER, Del. – A traffic stop led to three arrests in the Dover area Thursday morning.
At around 9:40 a.m., Dover Police were conducting a drug investigation in the 100 block of South New Street when they stopped a vehicle and made contact with the three occupants, identified as 34-year-old Allison Morris, 46-year-old John Smith Jr., and 48-year-old George Jones. During the stop, officers found 28.6 grams of crack cocaine, 100 bags of heroin, and suspected drug money.
Morris was charged with multiple drug possession charges and was held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on an $18,000 secured bail.
Smith Jr. was charged with possession of a controlled substance and several capiases, and was held at SCI on an $8,000 cash bail.
Jones was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia not marijuana related. He was released on a criminal summons.
