Teen arrested for stealing firearm in Dover
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police arrested a 17-year-old for stealing a firearm following an investigation earlier this week.
Shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the 100 block of Derbyshire Court for a reported firearm theft. The victim told police that a 17-year-old resident of a home he was working on stole a firearm from him.
Further investigation revealed that the victim was working on a house, and at some point during the day, the teen stole the firearm from the victim’s vehicle. Police confronted the teen, at which time he reportedly pulled the firearm out of his waistband.
The teen was taken into custody on multiple charges, including theft of a firearm and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He was held at the Stevenson House Correctional Facility on an $82,500 cash bond.
