SU student honored for philanthropic work

SALISBURY, Md. – A local Salisbury University alum has been honored.

For his dedication to fostering inclusivity on campus, Hunter Whitt, Class of 2023, has received the 2023 President’s Diversity and Inclusion Champion Award. He made a huge impact on the community during his grad student days, playing a key role in making SU more inclusive for students with disabilities, advocating for easier access to buildings and bathrooms, and for faculty responsiveness to student needs.
