Somerset Co. encourages students to get serious about their mental health

SOMERSET COUNTY. – The Somerset County public school district is raising awareness on mental health, with an upcoming fair.
Officials are encouraging the Somerset community to get serious about their mental health, and they want people to come out to the Peace of Mind: Mental and Behavioral Health fair on March 11th.
Support specialist, Dawn Mitchell, said she hopes that students who attend the fair walk away knowing that there is help, right in their backyard.
“It’s really hard for them to understand that there’s more options than the usual agencies that come out, so this gives them more education,” Mitchell said. “It also gives the families an education, and to know that there is help there.”
The event will take place from 4-6PM at Crisfield high school.
