Salisbury man sentenced for 2022 murder of Snow Hill man
WORCESTER CO., Md. – A Salisbury man has been sentenced to five decades in prison for murder.
33-year-old Carl Fuller was convicted in September of first degree murder, and on February 23rd, he was sentenced to life in prison with all but 50 years suspended. He was also placed on five years of supervised probation on release.
On October 23, 2022, deputies with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported cardiac arrest on St. Luke’s Road in Snow Hill. Deputies found a man lying unresponsive in a pool of blood with numerous and severe blunt force injuries to the face and head. Police were able to identify the victim as David Pfeffer, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was then noticed that the victim’s vehicle was not at the scene, and police eventually tracked it to a home in Delmar, Delaware. Fuller was found at the residence, and during an interview with investigators, he admitted to killing Pfeffer with a baseball bat on the night of October 22nd. He also admitted to stealing firearms from Pfeffer’s residence, which he hid in his mother’s home, along with his bloody clothing. Investigators recovered these items, as well as the victim’s credit card and murder weapon, which Fuller had reportedly discarded along the roadway when he left the crime scene.
