Safe Surrender Day at Kent County Court House in DE

KENT COUNTY, De. – Safe Surrender day is a day for anyone in Delaware with an outstanding warrant or fine to clear their record in one day.
All hands are on deck at the court house; including officials, judges, prosecutors and defense council through the public defender’s office.
Sean O’Sullivan, chief of Community relations for the Delaware court system, wants to reassure everyone who decides to come that they do not have to worry about encounters with law enforcement.
“Judges are giving special consideration because obviously you are showing an interest in your case, you want to get your warrants resolved and our goal today is to clear as many capias as we can.”
The event will run until 7 p.m. tonight.
