Raccoon found in Wicomico Co. tests positive for rabies

WILLARDS, Md. – The Wicomico County Health Department says a raccoon in Willards tested positive for rabies on Tuesday.

Officials say the raccoon was found in the area of Bethel Road and New Hope Road.

Residents are urged to remain aware of their surroundings and avoid all contact with wild or stray animals.
