MAGNOLIA, Del. – A New Jersey man is behind bars after he allegedly led police on a chase through Kent County late Wednesday night.

At around 11:40 p.m., troopers on patrol saw a green Chrysler 300 with an equipment violation driving northbound on Peachtree Run at Walnut Shade Road, initiating a traffic stop as a result. The driver made a U-turn and sped off from the traffic stop, turning off his headlights and driving eastbound on Walnut Shade Road before eventually hitting a curb. The car became disabled, and the driver then reportedly jumped out of the car and ran. The driver was taken into custody after a short chase and was identified as 49-year-old Anthony Dollson of Trenton, New Jersey.

A search of the vehicle led troopers to find approximately 5 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 3.75 grams of cocaine, and 40 tabs of MDMA/ecstasy. A passenger was also detained following the chase but was released.

Dollson was charged with numerous drug and traffic charges and was held at SCI on a $10,305 secured bond.
