Over 600,000 request ballots for presidential primary election
Maryland- The Maryland State Board of Elections Announced that over 600,000 residents have requested mail in ballots ahead of the 2024 Presidential primary election.
Absentee voters who requeted a ballot started to be sent out to voters on March 27th, while voters who requested to get a print at home ballot to send in the forms using their own envelope started to be deliver on the 29th.
For those who requested to have a ballot mailed to them, those envelopes started to arrive March 29th.
All ballots should be received by voters no later than April 8th.
According to the state board of elections the primary election is expected to have the highest amount of mail in voting in a non-covid year in the state’s history.
