Multiple families displaced following early morning apartment fire in Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – An overnight apartment fire is under investigation in Salisbury.

We’re told the fire broke out at around 3:15 a.m. at the Island Club Apartment complex. More than 50 firefighters battled the 2-alarm blaze for roughly one hour before bringing it under control.

State fire marshals are actively working to determine what caused the fire, which displaced a total of seven families. We’re told those families are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Total damage has been estimated at $800,000.
