Local organization to offer free breast cancer screenings

DELAWARE. – The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition is encouraging the community to take their health into their own hands.

This Saturday, the organization will be offering free Breast exams for breast cancer detection.

Program manager for women’s health screening, Adriana Vivero-Sosa, said early detection is crucial, because it can help you come up with a treatment plan for the future.

“Early detection saves peoples’ lives,” Vivero-Sosa said. “The earlier that you get detected with breast cancer, the better it is for each individual to help overcome their healthcare obstacles or treatment.”

The event will be held at Blades Elementary School from 12- 3PM.
