Experimenting with invisible ink on Good Morning Delmarva

47ABC – UMES STEM Educator Brad Hartle returned to Good Morning Delmarva to share another kid-friendly science experiment with Jordie and Jake.

This time, they learned step-by-step how to send a secret message with invisible ink.

This experiment wasn’t just about the science behind the magic but was also a history lesson!

Hartle tells us George Washington used to send hidden messages during the Revolutionary War similar to the messages created this morning.

This experiment only required a few simple household products such as baking soda, rubbing alcohol, and turmeric.

To learn how to make your own secret messages, watch the full experiment!
