Dover Police arrest man on robbery charges following shoplifting

DOVER, Del. – A Dover man was arrested on charges stemming from a shoplifting Monday afternoon.

Dover Police were called to Boscov’s at around 4:30 p.m. for a reported shoplifting, learning from an employee that a man concealed merchandise from the store and left without paying. When confronted by an employee, the man allegedly punched the employee in the face, pulled out a knife, and ran from the store.

The suspect was identified as 31-year-old Tre’avon Anderson, who was located and taken into custody. Police say they found merchandise from Boscov’s and Bath and Body Works in his possession, as well as a folding knife.

Anderson was charged with first degree robbery, carrying a concealed deadly instrument, receiving stolen property under $1500, and shoplifting under $1500. He was held at SCI on a $22,100 cash bail.
