1280 Weeks

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police arrested a man on multiple charges stemming from a false imprisonment incident Tuesday night.

At around 9:30 p.m., officers were called to the 7-11 at 654 North DuPont Highway, meeting with the victim, an Uber driver, who reportedly had an altercation with a passenger. It was reported that the victim picked up a man, identified as 38-year-old Brent Weeks, from a Dover establishment to drive him home. Weeks and the victim allegedly got into an argument because Weeks wanted to change the destination, which escalated when Weeks grabbed a knife and threatened the victim. Weeks also reportedly held onto the victim, not allowing him to stop or get out of the vehicle.

The victim was eventually able to stop and get out of the vehicle at 7-11. Weeks left the scene but was located a short time later walking along North DuPont Highway. Officers also found Weeks to be in possession of an approximately 6-inch knife.

Weeks was held at SCI on a $6500 secured bail for possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, aggravated menacing, and first degree unlawful imprisonment.
