Dover gym owner arrested for relationship with minor

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police say the owner of a local gym has been charged for allegedly having a relationship with a minor.

According to police, a report came in last month regarding a sexual relationship that had reportedly occurred between the owner of Legends Elite, 31-year-old Thomas Keaton, and a female athlete/employee of the gym, who was 17 years old at the time. Further investigation revealed that Keaton was involved in a sexual relationship with the girl between February and March of 2023.

Police obtained warrants for Keaton, who turned himself in on Monday. He was charged with five counts of first degree sex abuse of a child by a person of trust, three counts of fourth degree rape, sexual solicitation of a child under 18 years old, and second degree unlawful sexual contact, and was held at SCI on a $121,000 cash bail.
