DEVELOPING NEWS: Francis Scott Key Bridge collapses in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, Md. –  The Francis Scott Key Bridge has collapsed into the river in Baltimore.

The incident occurred early this morning after a large ship struck a column of the bridge.

The column was supporting a big portion of the bridge which immediately fell apart into the Patapsco river.

There is no information on whether anyone was injured or harmed.

The Francis Scott Key Bridge was an important route over the Baltimore Harbor and junction to the Baltimore Beltway.
