Del. Presidential Primary Election canceled
DOVER, Del. – The Delaware Department of Elections has announced that the state’s Presidential Primary Election scheduled for April 2nd will not take place.
We’re told the cancellation is due to the recent withdrawal of Republican Presidential candidate Nikki Haley from the primary ballot, leaving Republican Donald Trump as the sole filed Republican Party presidential candidate.
Officials have estimated that not holding the state’s Presidential Primary Election has saved the state at least $1.5 million.
