City of Salisbury being featured by PlacemakingUS
SALISBURY, Md. – The City of Salisbury is being featured next week by PlacemakingUS. It’s a national network organized to unleash community power to build living, interconnected places together. Next Thursday, the “Salisbury Placemaking Town Showcase” will be held virtually. It will feature work being done around the city on mobility, sustainability, gardens, event production and the arts. Their hope is to provide an opportunity for people across the nation to learn from what’s being done in Salisbury. Martin Hutchison of the Camden Community Garden is one of the people being asked to present.
“I was asked to be a part of this event to feature the work that we’ve done here at the Camden Community Garden in transforming a vacant city lot into a destination, into a place that is revitalizing the neighborhood that surrounds it,” says Hutchison.
The event is free, you just need to register in advance. You can find the link to register here. The virtual event starts at 9AM.
Hutchison says, “I’m hoping that people from all across our world and across our country will become acquainted with the beautiful place that Salisbury, Maryland is.”
