Access to Care act moves foward
Maryland- On Friday Maryland lawmakers passed new legislation in the hopes of reducing health care cost in the state.
House Bill 728 and State Bill 705 which are known as the access to care act, looks to make sure Marylanders will have the ability to purchase health care coverage regardless of their immigration status.
The hope is that by allowing more access to the purchase of health care it will reduce the cost of premiums across the state.
The legislation now awaits final approval in the assembly.
