WiHi survives North Caroline’s comeback attempt

SALISBURY, Md. – The WiHi Tribe takes down North Caroline 73-66 to move on to the second round of the MPSSAA 2A State Playoffs. This game was a back-and-forth affair. The Bulldogs took a 34-32 lead at halftime thanks to Nassai Bell hitting a buzzer-beating jump shot from 14 feet out.

The two teams traded leads for the entire third and most of the fourth quarter until the Tribe was able to pull away late in the game. Takai Hugee closed the Bulldogs with a late And-1 that gave the Tribe a six-point lead with under 30 seconds left to go in the game. WiHi heads to Easton on Feb 29. to match up with the Warriors.
