DOVER, Del. – Three people have been arrested in connection to a home invasion earlier this month.

During the early morning hours of February 14th, officers responded to the 100 block of Old Forge Drive for a reported shooting. At the scene, police found a 31-year-old man who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was subsequently taken to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment. It was further learned that three men had kicked the back door to the residence open and shot the victim.

Through the investigation, police were able to identify the three suspects in this incident as 27-year-old Jaymere Lewis, 30-year-old Emory Cannon, and 30-year-old Morris Savage. Warrants were issued for all three, and on February 21st, Lewis was taken into custody and charged with numerous offenses, including first degree home invasion burglary, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and theft. He was held at SCI on a $147,000 cash bail.

On Wednesday, Dover Police learned that Savage and Cannon were on a train, headed to Los Angeles, California. After collaborating with Amtrak and the Los Angeles Police Department, Savage and Cannon were taken into custody at the Amtrak Station in Los Angeles.
