Tri-County Goes Purple art contest now underway, seeks local student artists

DELMARVA – Calling all art student artists!  Somerset, Worcester, and Wicomico Goes Purple are looking for you to help create their next logo.

It’s the third year of the art contest, allowing tri-county students to put their creativity to the test.

Organizers told us the goal is to get more youth involved with their campaign efforts and engage with them about the dangers of substance abuse.

The chosen artwork will be used for the Tri-County Goes Purple Kickoff event. “It’s also been really great exposure for them. In the last couple of years, the winner’s artwork has been on billboards, on our advertising materials, t-shirts, and even bags,” Wicomico Goes Purple Christina Bowie said.

Submissions are due no later than April 5th and should be emailed to christina.bowie@maryland.gov.
