Sussex Tech adds new articulation programs
Sussex County, Del- The Sussex County Technical high school will be adding a pair of new articulation programs, while continuing another popular program for Seniors who are looking to enter the medical field.
The new programs the technical school will be adding are a forklift certification program, which will earn students their OSHA compliance requirements, along with a marine service technology course.
The school will also be continuing their phlebotomy program for its second year.
We spoke to Director of Adult Education with Sussex Tech Kelly Whaley who mentioned how beneficial courses like these are to graduating Seniors:
“It makes them more marketable for sure. (For Those) students graduating with a CNA from Sussex tech to be able to also graduate with a phlebotomy certification.”
That phlebotomy program has already seen a significant increase in certifications granted in its second year.
It’s initial year saw seven students receive certification, with its return already seeing that number increase to seventeen.
