Seaford pastor arrested on multiple child pornography charges
SEAFORD, Del. – A Seaford pastor has been arrested on child pornography charges following an investigation.
74-year-old James Dryden was arrested on February 15th on 10 felony counts of dealing in child pornography.
We’re told the investigation began after multiple cyber tips were generated by Microsoft, warning that Dryden’s IP address had accessed and downloaded child sex abuse material. Delaware State Police and investigators with the Department of Justice made contact with Dryden at his home, locating additional child sex abuse material on his personal devices.
Dryden was held at SCI on a $500,000 cash bail.
Investigators say Dryden is not charged with contacting a child and they are not currently aware of any victims affiliated with the church, however, given the nature of his job and the fact that he regularly contacts children as a result, the State is looking for any information the public may have regarding this case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Delaware ICAC Task Force at 302-739-2030.
