One injured in early morning home invasion shooting in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Police are investigating an early morning home invasion shooting that left one injured in Dover.

Dover Police officers were called to a residence in the 100 block of Old Forge Drive at around 12:45 a.m. for a reported shooting. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 31-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.

The victim was taken to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment.

Further investigation revealed three men kicked in the back door to the residence and shot the victim. No other injuries were reported, and the suspects were gone when police arrived.

The suspects are described as three men wearing masks. No other description is available at this time.
