Milford man arrested following weekend residential burglary

MILFORD, Del. –  A Milford man is behind bars following a weekend burglary.

At around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Carlisle Lane for a reported burglary in progress. The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Emerson Hernandez, was located at the scene and subsequently taken into custody. Police also learned that Hernandez was known to the victim and had entered the residence through a window.

Hernandez was charged with first degree burglary and criminal mischief under $1000 and was held on a $20,100 cash only bail. He was also issued a no-contact order with the victim.
