Law enforcement urge public to stay vigilant with scam calls on the rise

WORCESTER CO, Md. – The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office is warning against a rise in scam calls.
Officials are working to crack down on scammers, who have been targeting people with the intent to take financial advantage of their victims.
Sheriff Matthew Crisafulli said his department is actively working to keep the community safe from these scammers.
“These criminals that sit online all day long, looking for victims, they are getting detailed,” Sheriff Crisafulli said. “They are making their scam look very original and we do not want you to become a victim.”
Sheriff Crisafulli urges you to contact your local law enforcement agency if you suspect you’re a victim of a scam.
