Laurel man arrested in connection to September homicide

LAUREL, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a September homicide in Laurel.

Just after 9:30 p.m. on September 10th, Laurel Police responded to a reported shooting on West Sixth Street, finding two victims at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim, identified as 26-year-old Taylor German, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, a 41-year-old Millsboro man, was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit investigated the incident, identifying 19-year-old Azzure Horsey as the suspect. A Sussex County Grand Jury indicted Horsey on Tuesday, and he was taken into custody on Wednesday, charged with first degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, five counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, first degree conspiracy, second degree assault, and first degree reckless endangerment.

He was held at SCI on a $3.26 million cash bond.
