Industrial accident in Millsboro seriously injures one

MILLSBORO, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a serious industrial crash in Millsboro.

Shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday, troopers responded to WWC III Trucking for a reported industrial accident. A 55-year-old man was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries prior to troopers arrival at the scene.

Further investigation revealed that the man was using a torch to cut the top off a barrel that previously contained a flammable. Police say the vapors in the barrel ignited, causing an explosion.
