Habitat for Humanity to host pickle ball fundraiser

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County is calling all Pickle ball enthusiasts to play for a good cause.

The organization is hosting its first ever pickle ball tournament to raise money for construction of new houses for people in need.

$35 Early bird registration ends Thursday at 11:59PM, and beginning Friday, standard registration will be $55.

Director of development, Christina Williams, said broadening the horizon of how they collect donations is just as important as the donations themselves.

“Engaging with people who may not know our mission, people who are interested in certain things, like pickle ball, it brings in a new perspective and a new group of people who may be interested in not just donating, but volunteering,” Williams said.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, at the Crown Sports Center in Fruitland.
