Good Morning Delmarva discusses the coolest thing made in Delaware contest

47ABC – The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce is hosting their 1st Inaugural Coolest Thing Made in Delaware Competition.

It’s a competition where Delaware Manufactures can be nominated for a product they have created.

We sat down with President Mike Quaranta to discuss how this is an amazing opportunity especially for the manufacturing industry.

He tells us we are seeing a shift and resurgence in manufacturing here in the U.S.

Especially in the quality of facilities and the highly competitive wages.

Quaranta says they aren’t looking for anything in particular for nominees. He says there is a huge range in different manufactures from space suits to hair products, to poultry production.

So, this competition will be a great way to put an eye on all the unique things being produced in Delaware.

Nominations will be accepted until February 21st and the winner will be announced on March 28th at the Manufacturing and Policy Conference.
