Former OCPD officer arrested for domestic assault
OCEAN CITY, Md. – A former Ocean City Police officer has been arrested on assault charges.
We’re told Custody Officer Isaiah Mitchell has been charged with domestic assault (second degree). He was reportedly off duty at the time of the incident.
Mitchell had been employed by OCPD as a Custody Officer, a civilian position assigned to the Arrest and Detention Section, since 2022. He is no longer employed by OCPD.
Ocean City Police say they are taking this matter seriously and will assist the Berlin Police Department, who is handling the investigation, as necessary.
