UPDATE: Early morning crash claims life of one in Millsboro

MILLSBORO, Del. – An investigation is underway following a fatal crash in Millsboro Wednesday morning.

At around 6:30 a.m., police say a 1994 Suzuki Cappuccino was traveling eastbound on Shiloh Church Road, approaching Hardscrabble Road. For unknown reasons, the Suzuki reportedly tried to turn left onto an access road, into the path of a 2008 Ford Taurus, subsequently causing a crash.

The driver of the Suzuki, a 35-year-old Laurel woman, was taken to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries.

The driver of the Taurus, a 28-year-old Salisbury man, sustained minor injuries and refused treatment.
