Dover woman charged with terroristic threatening following weekend incident
DOVER, Del. – A Dover woman was arrested on multiple charges stemming from an incident early Saturday morning.
At around 1:10 a.m., troopers were called to a residence on Diemidio Drive in Dover for a reported conflict between neighbors. On arrival, troopers met with the victim and learned that his neighbor, identified as 43-year-old Jennifer Neil, unplugged a power cord he was using and started to take the cord into her house. The victim grabbed the other end of the cord to stop her when Neil reportedly turned towards him with a pair of scissors raised in a stabbing motion, making statements about killing him. The victim was able to go back into his house to get away from Neil and call police.
Police were not able to locate Neil at her residence and obtained a warrant for her arrest. It was also learned that she had an active capias for her arrest out of Kent County.
Troopers made contact with Neil later that day in Milford and subsequently arrested her for aggravated menacing and terroristic threatening. She was issued a $2,500 unsecured bond but was held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a cash bond for her capias.
