Discussing a healthy sleep cycle on Good Morning Delmarva

47ABC – Now one thing we all have in common is that we all need sleep, but many of us aren’t getting enough or don’t understand how beneficial it is to get a good night’s rest.

This morning, local Rite Aid Pharmacist Sharon Allman, stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to tell us how to have a healthy sleep cycle!

Allman says that sleep helps with weight management, brain function, and hormonal balance.

She says you should be focused on 3 things:

  1. Quality
  2. Quantity
  3. Commitment

The amount of sleep you need is based on your age group, but if you’re having trouble sleeping you can improve your sleep by changing your sleep environment.

Allman recommends a dark, cool place. She also says you can use aromatherapy or white noise to ease your mind!
