Denton home destroyed in fire, investigation underway

DENTON, Md. – A Denton home was destroyed in a fire Thursday morning.

Firefighters responded to 108 N. Sixth Street just after 10 a.m. Firefighters with the Denton Volunteer Fire Company were able to control the blaze in approximately one hour.

Officials say the home was undergoing an extensive renovation process and was not occupied at the time of the blaze. The cause remains under investigation.
