Cape Henlopen upsets Sussex Central

GEORGETOWN, Del. –  The Cape Henlopen Vikings knock the Sussex Central Golden Warriors out of the DIAA Basketball Playoffs, taking them down 61-50. The Vikings completed the sweep, beating Sussex Central twice during the regular season and winning on the road in their playoff game.

Cape led by 10 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, due to their relentless attack to the basket. The Golden Knights couldn’t keep the Vikings from the rim in the fourth quarter, giving up multiple three-point plays at the basket.

Mid-way through the final quarter, Sussex Central began to make offensive plays however their defense in the final frame wasn’t good enough to keep their season alive. Cape Henlopen moves on to face fifth-seeded Sanford.
