Beebe provides new cardiovascular implants to patients
Sussex County, Del- The cardiovascular team with Beebe Healthcare will be the first in Maryland and Delaware to provide a new implant to their patients.
On February 7th the healthcare provider started to utilize the WATCHMAN FLX Pro implant.
This implant is used to treat patients who have been diagnosed with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, also know as AFib.
Afib is a heart rhythm disorder that increases risk for strokes, and requires many patients to take anticoagulation medications.
The WATCHMAN FLX Pro implant utilizes Hemocoat technology that helps to decrease clot formation and promote faster healing following the implant.
The WATCHMAN FLX pro implant is the latest version in a series of implants, which Beebe first began using in 2018.
