Traffic stop leads to felony gun charges for Felton man
MILTON, Del. – A Felton man was arrested on gun charges following a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.
Just after 7 a.m., a trooper patrolling the area of Coastal Highway and Eagle Crest Road in Milton saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Coastal Highway and subsequently initiated a traffic stop. A computer check of the driver, 32-year-old Alonzo Coker, revealed that his driver’s license was revoked.
When the trooper contacted Coker again, he saw a firearm concealed under items on the floorboard.
Coker was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, and speeding. He was held at SCI on a $25,101 cash bond.
