Three arrested in connection to Dover firearm investigation

DOVER, Del. – Three people were arrested Tuesday evening after a search warrant led to the recovery of firearms and drugs.

At around 8:45 p.m., police were conducting a firearms investigation, which led them to make contact with a vehicle in the Bally’s Hotel and Casino parking lot. There were three people in the vehicle, identified as 19-year-old Antonio Goicuria, 20-year-old William Friends, and 26-year-old Sameer Dover, who were all taken into custody.

A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of three Polymer 80 9mm handguns concealed and approximately 1,006.9 grams of marijuana. Officers also conducted a stop in the unit block of Stevenson Drive at a residence related to this investigation, during which officers found multiple firearm parts.

Friends was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and was released on a $2,500 unsecured bail.

Goicuria was charged with two counts of carrying a concealed deadly weapon, three counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, and possession of a large capacity magazine. He was held at SCI on a $12,600 secured bail.

Dover was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possess/consume marijuana other than personal use quantity, and possession of drug paraphernalia marijuana related. He was held at SCI on a $2,700 secured bail.
