Somerset Co. garage destroyed in fire

1280 Marion Station FireMARION STATION, Md. – Officials say a wood stove caused a garage fire in Somerset County Thursday evening.

The fire was reported at around 7 p.m. on Charles Cannon Road in Marion Station. Crews were able to control the blaze, which was in a detached garage, in roughly 20 minutes.

Further investigation revealed that the fire was accidental and was caused by a wood stove. Total damage has been estimated at $35,000.
