Search warrants lead to multiple arrests in Seaford
SEAFORD, Del. – A search warrant at two Seaford residences last week led to three arrests.
At around 8:20 a.m. Thursday, multiple law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of North Front Street following a two-month-long investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics from the property. A total of 12 people were detained at the property, including 22-year-old Andrew Ayers, 22-year-old Schweitzer Dessin, and 22-year-old Johnathan Dugazon.
During the execution of the first search, detectives obtained additional search warrants for vehicles on the property, as well as for a residence and vehicle in the 700 block of Kimbrough Court.
During the searches of both properties and vehicles, detectives recovered the following:
- Approximately 27.33 grams of crack cocaine
- Approximately 4.09 grams of cocaine
- Approximately 1.148 grams of heroin
- Approximately 48.09 grams of marijuana
- Drug paraphernalia
- 20 .32 caliber rounds of ammunition
- 15 .38 caliber rounds of ammunition
- $28,553 in suspected drug money
Police say six out of the twelve individuals were arrested for misdemeanor charges and capiases. Ayers, Dugazon, and Dessin were taken to Troop 4, while the three remaining individuals were released.
Ayers was charged with two counts of possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, four counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, second degree conspiracy, resisting arrest, and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held at SCI on a $63,800 cash bond.
Dessin was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance Tier I, second degree conspiracy, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.
Dugazon was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, second degree conspiracy, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance on these charges but was held at SCI on a $15,000 cash bond for violation of probation.
