Salisbury officials provide updates on trash collection issues

SALISBURY, Md.- The City of Salisbury has released a new update on ongoing issues with trash collection.

The City Council held a meeting on Tuesday afternoon to discuss the issue. In the meeting, city officials announced that a rear trash truck is being leased for this week. Also, the town of Berlin will let Salisbury borrow one of their trucks next week.

The city also has all hands on deck bringing in employees from parks and recreation to assist with the trash collection. City officials didn’t provide an exact date of when the trash collection issues will be resolved, but residents can expect to go back to their normal schedule within a week and a half.
