SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man has been sentenced to more than a decade behind bars for his conviction on armed robbery charges.

54-year-old Milton Harmon Jr. was convicted last month of armed robbery and related charges stemming from an armed robbery on April 20, 2023. During the early evening hours, Harmon walked into the Hampton Inn in Fruitland, masking his face with a bandana while inside the vestibule of the hotel entrance. He then walked toward the front desk, armed with a fixed-blade knife, and demanded money. He then fled toward the area of North Dulaney Avenue, discarding items of evidence as he ran. Police located Harmon and the items of evidence a short time later.

Harmon was sentenced on Thursday to 16 years behind bars, 10 of which will be without the possibility of parole.
