Real estate agent helps community members become homeowners

SALISBURY, Md. – Getting into your first home can be a big first step for someone to make.

Real Estate Professional Nicole Schreibstein Abbot hosting a seminar Sunday with some tips for those looking to buy their first home.

She says there are several housing options in Salisbury given the wide price range of homes, along with Maryland mortgage programs.

However, embarking on the journey can be overwhelming to start.

“Homeownership is not as far away as a lot of people might feel like it is,” Abbot said. “Interest rates are headed down this year and I think that will open a lot of doors for people as well.”

Abbots best advice is to talk to both a real estate agent and a lender who can look at your specific situation, so you can find the perfect home for you.
