Princess Anne teacher named “Teacher Who Makes A Difference”

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Ms. Hannah Quillen has been named the 47 ABC WMDT January Teacher Who Makes A Difference. Quillen is a Pre-K teacher at Princess Anne Elementary School.

Quillens has been teaching for seven years and says although it can be a difficult job, the relationships she builds every year is the most rewarding part. She says being honored with this award brightens her day because it means her work with her students isn’t going unnoticed. Quillen tells us at the end of the day building relationships with the students and their families is what she hopes other teachers can learn from her.

“I love taking care of the kids, I love teaching them, they’re just really easy to love. It’s fun to do that for them and come here and plan cool things, and do exciting things and make them laugh and make them happy and give them what they need and what they want and it’s just really fun,” says Quillen.

The Teacher Who Makes A Difference award is brought to you in part by Pam Price and Associates. They helped us surprise the teacher with goodies, flowers, and a certificate on Monday. To nominate a teacher click here.
