UPDATE: Portions of Fitzwater, Lake Streets in Salisbury closed due to flooding
1:30 p.m. UPDATE: As a result of rising tides, two sections of Lake Street have been shut down.
Barricades are being placed between Route 50 and West Main Street, as well as between Burton and King.
Fitzwater Street remains closed.

SALISBURY, Md. – Heavy rainfall has led to the closure of Fitzwater Street near Downtown Salisbury.
Officials say portions of Fitzwater and Lake Streets were both closed during the night and into the early morning due to flooding. The previously closed sections of Lake Street have reopened, but Fitzwater Street remains closed between West Main Street and Pearl Street.
Officials will be monitoring water levels throughout the day and closing any additional roads if necessary. The next high tide is at 2 p.m.
