Pair arrested after drugs, guns found at Dover daycare
DOVER, Del. – Two people are behind bars after a search warrant at a daycare led to the recovery of drugs and firearms.
Detectives were conducting a drug investigation on a residence in the 100 block of Roosevelt Avenue when they learned that the residence was being used as a daycare, The Little Peoples LFCC2. A search warrant was obtained, and detectives executed the warrant just after 12 p.m. Thursday. During the search, detectives found 93.1 grams of cocaine, 26.4 grams of crack, 302 bags of heroin, 2 handguns, and $32,262 in cash.
Two subjects, identified as 33-year-old Cameron Christmas and 29-year-old Jessica Cooper, were located at the residence and subsequently taken into custody. Four children were in the daycare at the time of the search and they were turned over to their guardians.
Christmas was held at SCI on a $93,100 cash bail, while Cooper was held at the BWCI on a $49,700 secured bond, each on a list of charges including four counts of endangering the welfare of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia.
