Masks required for patients, visitors at all Bayhealth locations
DELAWARE – Bayhealth announced on Friday that it is now requiring masks for patients and visitors at its hospitals, outpatient locations, and Bayhealth Medical Group practices.
This is due to higher than normal patient volumes due to an increase in patients with respiratory illnesses such as influenza, RSV, and COVID-19.
“What’s important to know is our commitment to the health of our community is at the center of our decision-making process,” said Bayhealth VP Quality and Medical Affairs John Fink, MD, MSHQS. “As we enter the winter months, we encourage everyone to consider preventive options such as vaccination, masking, and proper hand hygiene and to seek appropriate treatment options such as a visit to your primary care provider, walk-in medical care or virtual urgent care when necessary.”
Community members are encouraged to check online for the latest information and details about masking and visitation guidelines.
