EASTON, Md. – A man has been extradited from Accomack County to Talbot County on attempted murder charges.

The charges stem from an incident that took place just after midnight on July 16, 2023, in the area of Lynbrook Court. As Easton Police officers were responding to the reported carjacking, they received an update from dispatch that shots had been fired at the scene. Officers met with a female victim at the scene and noticed that her vehicle had two bullet holes on the driver side door, just below the window.

Further investigation revealed that the victim and suspect, 39-year-old Tehron West, had gotten into an argument. West had reportedly been drinking, and the victim was preventing him from driving away intoxicated when he got into her vehicle, pulled a handgun out, and shot at the victim at least twice while she was sitting in her second vehicle. West then fled the scene in the victim’s car.

The victim was not injured.

At around 3:15 a.m., officers were notified that Virginia State Police had stopped West in Accomack County in the stolen vehicle. West was subsequently taken into custody.

On January 22nd, West was extradited from Virginia back to Talbot County, where he was charged with attempted second degree murder, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, motor vehicle theft, firearm use in a violent crime, and several additional charges.
